Why Staging Works

Buying a home is an emotional affair usually driven by the buyer's gut feelings rather than hard facts. Staging helps create a bond between your house and potential buyers by immediately showing them what their life could be like if they called your house home. Well placed furniture and accessories help create space and beauty and draw the buyer’s eye to the possibilities rather that small imperfections.

Statistical Research

Statistical research consistently reveals that staged homes sell faster and for a higher price than homes left vacant or decorated with the current owner’s personal belongings. In a 2020 Real Estate Stagers Association survey of 13k staged homes 85% of staged homes sold for 5-23% over list price. According to the National Realtor’s Association, a staged home will sell for 17% more on average than a non-staged home and 95% of staged homes sell in eleven days or less. NAR research also shows that the longer a property sits on the market, the less it finally sells for. The same research shows that staging a stagnant home currently listed makes it sell up to 73% faster. Over 81% of potential home buyers in the U.S. reported that, when viewing a staged home, it's easier to imagine themselves living in that house.

Effective Marketing

In today’s market, digital marketing has become the norm. A buyer’s first impression comes from pictures and virtual tours they see on their phone or computer. A staged home will catch the eye of online buyers thumbing through the list of houses presented in their search. One picture of a beautifully staged room will get them to click virtually every time they pass your listing. Your property will be viewed by a greater number of potential buyers and their first impression will be a good one.
